In the 7th paragraph of " A Way With Words, or Away With Words", author uses three citations from two sources. They are "data suggests that when teenagers transition to college, they naturally shed some of their adolescent linguistic ways in favor of more formal wrting conventions", "[the] data contains few abbreviations or acronyms. Spelling is remarkably good, and punctuation isn't particularly bad either" and "most students realize that they need to put their adolescent spellings behind them by the time they get to college". In the 7th paragraph, author tends to tell readers that students' writing by using txt language become less as they grow up. Using these sources can make sense of his point. Because as the citation, these source are from data, which are more denpendable. At the end, the source can be a good conclusion.
This article is about students' using adolescent spelling. At the beginning, author talks about its convenient and parents' tripedation. This paragraph,in the middle part, acts as transition. After this paragraph, author writes about something on the other hand compared to previous paragraphs.
